I just found this picture. There is no better time than now to take this into consideration. The SOPA bill needs to be stopped. It will take away much of the freedom of the internet, nut just for the USA, but for the world. Please, write to your senators, tell everyone you know about this bill, it must be stopped.
it'll be the beggining of the end if it passes... :/
ReplyDeleteWell I think if SoPa Passes, we will need to make a new internets :) we can call it interweb

Awesome. Screw SOPA. I love this picture.
ReplyDeleteI was told long ago by an old man who was around when the Internet was first coming into existence, "The Internet in the end will hurt all the people using it and take from them the very freedom that we worked so hard on creating. There is nothing we can ultimately do about it" You see back then, EVERYTHING on the Internet was a shared collaboration and if you knew how to be a part of it, chances are you were helping to make it better. Soon it became a proprietary tool for corporations and since then less freedoms have been accessible. SOPA should not be a surprise to many people, but at the same time if we can fight it, we must. Honestly though, I don't think we will be able to win.
ReplyDeleteVery nice picture. I really hope SOPA doesn't pass.
ReplyDeleteim with you on this, its important to remember those smart enough to pirate now will still know how to priate after this bill passes. so americans are the only ones losing out , legit ones that dont nesssicarily pirate
ReplyDeleteMozilla, Facebook, Google, Worth1000, Twitter -- ALL AGAINST SOPA! Who's thinking Ron Paul?
ReplyDeleteIt already is the beginning of the end. The anti terrorism bill allows the gov't to detain any person in the US for any length of time for no reason, as long as they say they believe that person is a "terrorist". 100% against the Consitution, but got passed with an overwhelming majority...
ReplyDeleteI know that quote is from some comic where Captain America is talking to Spiderman. Which one specifically I couldn't tell you :(
ReplyDeleteSOPA is a terrible idea. If someone wants do something illegal they'll find a way around it. This only hurts the normal people. Companies get richer, people who want to pirate will still find a way to pirate, and everybody else gets the shaft.
It wont help anyone, just hurts all the normal, non-computer savvy people.
ReplyDeleteI really hope it doesnt get passed, its amazing what the internet has done to this generation!
ReplyDeleteMy Fitness Blog
